What the round feels like

At the foot of Calblanque Natural Park, West offers a different experience from La Manga’s other two courses. Dave Thomas’s layout follows the wooded terrain, bringing slopes and natural ravines into the round

Precision from the tee

The front nine calls for controlled tee shots around ravines, making club selection an important part of the challenge

Into the hills

The back nine climbs through more mountainous terrain, with narrower holes and striking changes in elevation
